We are Summerleas Christian Church. It's nice to meet you.

In many ways we are very similar to other churches who worship Jesus as Lord. As a Christian Reformed Church¹, we share a doctrinal heritage with thousands of other Christians who embrace the teachings of the European Reformation:

• Scripture Alone as the final authority by which we live (2 Timothy 3:14-17)
• Christ Alone as the one true saviour of the world (Acts 4:10-12)
• Grace Alone as the only basis for our salvation which we receive by faith alone and not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9)
• That all of this and all that we do is for the Glory of God Alone (Romans 11:36; 1 Corinthians 10:31)

However, we are also a unique group of people living in a unique part of the world. This makes us, and requires us, to be a unique church. Some of the things we do and say may feel a little unfamiliar at first and that's why this explanation exists. We want to make it easy for people to understand why we do what we do.
